Accounting has been defined as:

"The process of identifying, measuring and communicating economic information to permit informed judgements and decisions by users of the information."

Accounting is studied in Sixth Form and is concerned with:

• recording of data,

• classifying and summarising data,

• communicating what has been learned from the data

Students find it very satisfying to work through problems and reach clear outcomes.

This subject is very diverse and can lead you into accountancy or other finance related subjects at University or work.
