Equestrian Team Success
Olivia McConaghy S2B and Una Andrews S2D represented Our Lady’s at a ‘Student Voice’ workshop on Wednesday 7th December in the Canal Court Hotel which was organized by the Newry and Mourne Area Learning Community.

Both girls successfully completed BTEC Twilight courses that were offered as a result of collaborations between Our Lady’s, St Colman’s and Southern Regional College last year.
Una was one of fifteen girls who studied the BTEC Extended Certificate in Engineering and Olivia one of six who took the BTEC Extended Certificate in Creative Media Production. A further sixteen Our Lady’s girls achieved success in the BTEC Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care.

Olivia and Una met with Key Stage 4 pupils from each post primary school in the Newry and Mourne Area to discuss the benefits of collaboration as well as the challenges problems encountered by students. They also put forward suggestions improvements and for future courses.
A similar event for A level students will take place next term.
