SUPERB A LEVEL SUCCESS FOR OUR LADY’S GIRLS
There were lots of smiles yesterday as the Our Lady’s A Level girls received their outstanding examination results.
Last year, A Level performance placed the school 1st in Northern Ireland and this year’s students have continued the Our Lady’s tradition of academic excellence with over 90% obtaining at least 3 A* – C grades, 50% of all examinations awarded Grade A*/A, 80% of all grades awarded at least Grade B and 95% of all grades awarded at least Grade C. The pass – rate, once again, was 100% so the celebrations were well deserved!
In addition, 36 of the girls obtained 3, 4, 5 or 6 A*/A grades and 73 in total have obtained at least 360 UCAS points, the 3 Grade A equivalent ~ a splendid achievement.
“Hard work, excellent teaching and caring support in school and at home have enabled these splendid young women to fulfil their outstanding potential,” commented Principal Ms Geraldine Pettigrew. “They all have so many gifts and talents and they have been generous and kind throughout their years in school. Everyone associated with Our Lady’s is absolutely delighted for the girls and their families and wishes them great happiness and success in their future.”
