European Day of Languages

To celebrate European Day of Languages
the school hosted a variety of events. The J3s had a table quiz in the Four Arches, which was colourfully decorated with lots of posters and European flags. There was a great buzz in the air as we chatted to our friends – and I’m sure the faint smell of croissant helped! There were eight rounds, each needing a good general knowledge of the countries, languages and cultures of Europe. Then came the picture round – arguably veryone’s favourite! When a round was finished we handed our answers to the all-important markers – a group of senior students. It was a great learning experience.
Everyone was eager to do ther best and win, so it was great fun and a great laugh too. We really enjoyed ourselves and had a great time with our friends. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it a great afternoon! The quiz was génial, trés super. magnífico. So maith sibh so all who took part.
