Soccer
Katie Farrell is going to Bulgaria in order to represent her country in soccer. She will be playing for the Northern Ireland Ladies U19 soccer team at the U19 European Championships qualifying tournament. Katie, who is sixteen, is attending her first European tournament after starting to play soccer last year. She is very excited about the tournament and hopes the team will do well. She plays for Belfast United soccer team and plays Gaelic football for her school, club and county.

Athletics
Katherine Trainor who is a GCSE student at Our Lady’s Grammar School has just returned from the UK Student Games in Wales having competed in the 1,200m relay event. Katherine is a keen athlete who trains with Lagan Valley. Her team did well and Katherine achieved a personal best time which was an added bonus.
