Irish Public Speaking Competition

Mrs Mc Allister, two fourth years and three A-Level Irish students took part in the local round of the Gael-Linn Abair public speaking competition. Many other GCSE, AS and A2 level Irish students from the Newry and Mourne area took part and a wide range of current and topical subjects were spoken about.
Congratulations to Ursula Savage U6th who came second in the A Level section. Ursula’s title was ‘The Under-representation of Women in Irish Politics’ and she now goes on to take part in the regional finals in Belfast in March.
