"You have maintained the exceptionally high standards across the board which has seen Our Lady's placed in the top rank of Northern Ireland Schools every year since records began. Let me just dwell for a moment upon your examination success. Even measured against the highest standards, the overall success which you have achieved is quite remarkable.
"Every single examination was passed and 84 per cent of all examinations were awarded Grade A or Grade B. I have noted your scholarship, your outstanding academic acumen, the examination success, which you lave achieved. You have also been very attentive to the spiritual dimension of your education, very faithful in attending liturgies and engaging actively in the prayer life of the school, taking sustenance yourselves from that and giving wonderful example to junior pupils.
"You have supported each other in very difficult times -that, I think, is perhaps the loveliest gift which you have given to us and to each other.
"You have been second to none in your record of service towards others, actively working for so many charities at home and abroad, raising the consciousness of the whole school community about injustices which need to be noticed, which need all of us to pay attention and to live up to our responsibilities as World Citizens.
