Our Lady’s are Co. Down Camogie Champions
Our Lady’s U16 Camogie team defeated a strong 'Our Lady’s and St. Patrick’s, Knock' team in an exhilarating Down Final and now face the Antrim Champions in the Ulster semi - final. The final score of 12 – 5 to 2 – 8 does not reflect what at times was a tense encounter, especially in the first half of play.
All the players showed great desire, determination and excellent technical skill to ensure victory for Our Lady’s. While all the players were superb, a special mention must go to Cliona Murtagh S1, who was the top scorer with seven goals and received the Player of the Final trophy.
In order to reach the final Our Lady’s defeated St.Louis, Kilkeel, Sacred Heart, Newry and in the semi – final St. Columban’s, Portaferry.
Below are some photographs of the victorious team with Mr A. Clements ( Coach) and Miss C. McAteer (Mentor) after the match.
