Best Spoken Irish Success for Our Lady's

Pictured below are the cast of the Irish Play An Cearrbhach Mac Cába after their performance in the All-Ireland Irish language Scoildrámaíocht Competition in Mullingar.

This performance was the culmination of several performances at local and national level.  At the Newry Festival, the play won the award for ‘Best Spoken Irish’ in a post-primary school.  The three main actresses, Patricia Carr who played An Cearrbhach; Marie-Claire Bradley who played Bás; and Colleen Rooney who played Dia were highly commended for both their acting skills and their spoken Irish.  Having been successful at the Ulster Finals in Letterkenny, the play was selected to compete in the All-Ireland Finals in Mullingar.
