CANTARE’S PERFORMANCE TOUR TO ROME

On Monday 31^st March, Our Lady’s Grammar School ‘Cantare’ flew to Rome for an intensive programme of sacred performances.  The 48 members of the choir were wonderful ambassadors for their school and for Ireland and gave outstanding renditions of beautiful Irish Hymns and Gregorian Chant at venues such as San Clemente Basilica, St. Peter’s Square (a Papal Mass) and the Pontifical Irish College.

Colette Harte-Lavery (Head of Music and Director of ‘Cantare’) was extremely proud of the choir and stated:  “After three years of planning and preparation, the performance tour was a resounding success.  We have been greatly privileged to have sung in such magnificent venues and to have participated in beautiful liturgies.  These are experiences we will never forget.”
