EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES & COMPETITION PRIZEWINNERS
The European Day of Languages was on September 26th. It is a massive event successfully involving millions of people across 24 countries worldwide. European Day of Languages is a big celebration of the benefits of being able to speak another language. In Our Lady’s Grammar, we did many different things to celebrate this occasion.
Different activities were arranged for the whole junior school. The first years had a general knowledge quiz, the second years had a poster competition, and the third years had a table quiz. There were many unusual foods from around the world in the Four Arches restaurant . There was Chicken Paella from Spain, Irish Stew from Ireland, Frankfurter Hot Dogs from Germany and Sauté Potatoes from France.
It was a day packed with fun, games and craic that we will all remember for a very long time.
