Debating Success
A team of Year Nine debaters from Our Lady’s Grammar School recently enjoyed success when they hosted St Joseph’s High School, Crossmaglen in a friendly inter-school debate. The motion, ‘Violence on television is detrimental to the health of society’, prompted some lively, engaging and, at times, heated argument, as the two teams went head to head.
The competition was closely fought, but the Our Lady’s team eventually emerged the victors, having engaged with questions from both the opposition and the audience members. Both teams were congratulated by the judges on their performances and we look forward to a re-match next year!
