Newry & Mourne Netball Biltz
Our Lady’s Grammar School were narrowly defeated in the Year 8 Newry and Mourne Netball Champions. The recent blitz hosted by Newry Sports Centre and The Bosco, was an exciting event.
Eight teams from the Newry and Mourne area participated in what was a keenly fought competition. Our Lady’s qualified from their section by beating St Louis, St. Columbans and St Joseph’s Crossmaglen, while St Mary’s High school and St. Pauls qualified in the other section.
Our Lady’s beat St Marys in what was a very exciting semi final which displayed some skilful netball. St Joseph’s Crossmaglen beat St Pauls setting the scene for the final showdown with Our Lady’s. Both teams fought hard but missed chances cost Our Lady's the title. There is great strength in this team who have trained hard over the last few months and should be a force to reckon with in the future.
