Our Lady's Link with St. Mary's in Dublin

Our Lady’s Grammar School has participated in the Dissolving Boundaries programme for the last four years. The programme enables schools from Northern Ireland to link with schools from the South of Ireland to partake in a common project or theme.

For the forthcoming school year, Our Lady’s will link with St. Mary’s School for Deaf Girls, Dublin and, on Wednesday 17th May, a group of 12 Senior 1 students from Our Lady’s travelled to Dublin to meet with their counterparts for the first time. The girls got on extremely well spending the day chatting and playing games and friendships were formed very quickly.

This is the first of a few meetings that will take place over the next year and the girls will also be able to communicate via web-based and video conferencing.

In September they will begin work on a project which will involve the development of a collaborative PowerPoint presentation and website.

The students from Our Lady’s Grammar School look forward to an enjoyable and fruitful project.
