The annual
Newry & Mourne
School’s Netball Blitz for Year 11 pupils was hosted by St.
Paul’s High school Bessbrook, with Seven teams from the area participating.
The standard of Netball was excellent throughout. The section winners were
St. Paul’s and Our Lady’s with St Patrick’s Keady and
St. Joseph’s
Crossmaglen runners up. Both semi finals were keenly contested with Our
Lady’s and
St. Paul’s emerging as the finalists. Our Lady’s got off to a great start, spurred on by
some excellent scores from Jennifer Murphy and Rebecca O’ Reilly. Our
Lady’s lead at half time and despite a good comeback by
St. Paul’s, the visitors was not to be denied victory.
